The challenges that services and agency businessesEveryday challenges

These problems are not a sign that your business is badly run. They happen because your documents and your finances are not connected in real time.

Quotations and invoices take too long to issue

Producing a separate Excel or Word file for every job takes days before anything reaches the customer.

Forgetting to chase customer payments

You do not know the billing dates or the advance payments received, and by the time you notice, the cycle has passed — putting pressure on company cash flow.

You do not know the real profit per project

Job costs, labor, and expenses sit in several different places, so working out the profit on each project means adding it all up by hand.

You do not know what stage a job's documents have reached

Working out what stage each quotation and sales order has reached, and how many installments have been collected, means checking the documents one by one.

One system for your whole business

Nested connects every step from quoting to billing to collection.in one place

Quoting, invoicing, collections, and accounting all run on the same database. No more re-keying.

  • Create an invoice in one click, with no re-keying.
  • Set a billing cycle for each customer, and the system rolls it forward to the next cycle automatically once the date passes. Filter instantly for invoices that have not been billed or are past due.
  • See cost and profit by project through the Cost Center report.
  • A full set of documents for service work: service invoice (IS) and service receipt (RS), kept separate from the goods documents.
  • When a customer withholds tax at source, the system calculates it right from the quotation — choose the income type, the rate, and the P.N.D. form used for filing — so the net amount receivable matches what the customer actually transfers.
  • Take deposits and bill in installments as work progresses. Mark which installment is a deposit, issue an advance income document (AI), and the system offsets the deposit against the work actually delivered for you.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions fromServices and agencies

How does the system help forecast cash flow?
The system pulls delivery due dates, billing and collection due dates, and combines them with each customer's credit terms and payment cycle to forecast cash flow ahead of time, so you can plan liquidity more accurately.
Where can I see the billing and collection dates for each invoice?
You can see it on the invoice list, which shows the billing status of every invoice — not yet due, overdue, or already billed. Filter for invoices that have not been billed yet in a single click, and see outstanding balances broken down by AR aging on the outstanding receivables dashboard.
Can I see profit by project?
Yes. Tag every revenue and expense line to that job's Cost Center — subcontractor fees or expenses claimed on site, for example — then view gross profit by project from the Cost Center report.
